Mushroom Installations Add Intrigue to the Looknow Boutique in Shanghai Designed by MHPD
GenZers seeking local fashion brands now have a brick-and-mortar destination in the 3,000-square-foot central Shanghai boutique Looknow. “We see online shopping as the soul and offline as the body of fashion,” said MHPD founder and design director Paul Hsu, who was responsible for the interior design. “We created this space to fit Looknow’s brand vision.”
Oversize blue tassel and orange mushroom installations wrap around the storefront, which features glazing imbedded with flying fish kite motifs and bolts of suede—just a few of the whimsical details in Looknow. “Kites are childhood memories for a many,” says Hsu. “The space encourages customers to come in and relax while seeking their favorite designer brands.”
